This one simple encounter has changed my life and the lives of those who are looking for the most affordable options available.
Let me start this story off by saying that I have encountered the struggles that most of you experience on our journey to getting your hearing back, first hand.
What I learned in the past few months was that there are tens of thousands suffering from mild to moderate hearing loss, and the options available aren’t viable to the vast majority.

About 2 months ago I was visiting my daughter, and while I was there with her we had a discussion that would change my life forever. I had never been hard of hearing, (or at least that is what I had thought, my wife might say otherwise) but during my visit my grandson Matthew had been speaking to me and I was having a hard time making out what he was saying, continuously asking him to repeat himself and damn near pretending i had heard what he was saying.
At first I thought he may just be speaking too softly but when I spoke with my daughter she had noticed that I wasn’t able to hear all of the statements he was making, and she had reiterated that Matthew was actually achieving some very high honors in his 4th grade class. How could I have missed that? I felt terrible for playing along and pretending I had heard him when I should have been enthralled with him for his achievements!
On the drive home my wife was mentioning the conversation with Matthew. She could tell I was having some issues recalling what he was saying, and I knew it was time to have a professional look into my hearing...
We set up an appointment with an audiologist and I found out that the hearing in my left ear had deteriorated to the point where I had about 65% of my regular hearing ability.
For me, this meant I couldn’t really hear rain falling, coffee brewing, or even light chatter from across the room, let alone conversation with my grandson or family members.
I was honestly a little frustrated because it meant that I wasn’t completely def, but even then there wasn’t a direct answer for me.
So, I needed something supplemental to help me in my daily life, and if I'm being honest, I didn’t want those clunky big things on my ear making me look like I was completely hearing impaired.
We started with my audiologist’s suggestions and went to a local store to take a look at some of the available options that could solve my problem immediately, but when I got inside the store my jaw dropped at the prices…

I nearly rubbed my eyes out of their sockets, I COULD NOT believe it.
As a matter of fact, I REFUSED to believe it. I even asked the clerk 4 or 5 times how they felt someone who was retired, living off of a fixed income could afford those with other major bills to pay.
Of course, they had no answer for me.
I decided to find another solution. These were not what I was looking for. I wanted something that worked for my needs AND fit my budget.
I began researching the industry, and what I discovered was downright criminal.
Audiologists would recommend patients to high-end brick-and-mortar stores that would mark up the cost of the hearing aids by more than 200% of what they should cost.
The audiologists would get a piece and a BIG piece at that.
Let me give you an example:

The brick-and-mortar (middleman) buys that hearing aid at base cost and marks it up to $3,500.
Now when your referral comes through from the audiologist, they’re making $2,750, and that audiologist is taking anywhere from 10 - 50% commission on that sale!
So a pair of hearing aids that would cost you $750 from the manufacturer ends up costing you $3,500…
All so the middleman can make a killing and bag the money for themselves.
Once I had discovered this, I knew I needed to find a company that controlled the entire process.
So after a couple of weeks of research, I finally found a company who was selling top-of-the-line hearing aids, with the latest available features like noise cancellation, feedback cancellation, rechargeable, in-ear, and behind-the-ear versions.
